Surprises...the good kind

Numerous Responses: I hate surprises, don’t rush me, why do I have to go outside

Me: GET OUTSIDE!

Once we got outside it was about 90 seconds before we heard the rumble up the road, then about 20 more seconds before the car was in full view. Then add the few seconds our brains needed to process what we were seeing.  Molly’s Mustang.  A car she loved & cherished, but also didn’t understand the concept of motor oil and as a result blew the engine up in it. And it sat untouched for a few years. But the Mustang found a new life with our favorite cousin-in-law, James Sturgeon.   With his own two hands (and hands of his son Austin) James restored the car, repaired the engine, had the car painted – and that glorious GBMF logo applied to the hood.

It was a wonderful surprise for everyone that afternoon. We had a few minutes as a family to enjoy the sunshine outside and relish in James’ accomplishments.  Bringing the Mustang back to life and bringing joy to Molly and Gav’s family – it was the best surprise!  A humble thank you to James for devoting himself to this project and proudly sharing the Mustang with Gav’s Foundation. Look for James and Molly's Mustang in local parades and car shows this summer!
